1;What is a political party? What is an interest group? What are the key similarities and differences?
2: Federal Judges are nominated by the president and approved by the Senate. They do indeed serve for life. From who or what does the President seek assistance in deciding who to nominate? Senators? Someone or something else? What criteria does/should the President consider when he makes his decision? Political ideology? Party Loyalty? Personal loyalty? Judicial experience? And, what about the Senate’s part. What exactly do they do? What do they have to do? How many votes are needed for confirmation?
